The National School Breakfast Programme
Our school has joined the Government's National School Breakfast Programme, which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast. As an NSBP school, we are pleased to offer a healthy school breakfast, available to all, and enjoy the benefits that brings, with children settled and ready to learn at the start of the school day.
Modroc Modelling in Y4
Y4 were joined by family members for a very messy, but enjoyable, WOW day experience. They were creating 3D sculptures from a variety of media, including Modroc. Hence the mess...
Pirate Day in FS1
Family members dressed up and joined their children in a fun-filled Pirate WOW day in FS1.
Crime and Punishment in Y6
Year 6, along with parents and carers, investigated 'Who stole the chocolate cake?' during their CSI WOW day on Monday. Through a range of activities - including analysing the crime scene, interviewing suspects, fingerprinting, handwriting analysis, chromatography, testing shoe scrapings and good old detective work - the culprit was finally arrested.
A big thank you to PCSO Young and PCSO Bellwood-Gray for attending and helping to solve the crime.
The event was thoroughly enjoyed by children and adults alike. One parent commented, "Well, what can I say? What a well organised day for Y6 today, I really enjoyed it. A big well done to the teachers in Y6, especially Mrs Chidsey. What a sterling job you did, from the organisation, to getting the parents to feel involved, you all did an amazing job. The children built confidence with plenty of team building and interaction. Thanks for a great day!"
w/e Friday 08 March 2019
