Vision Statement

Summer term - half term 1 - Week 6 of 6 w/b 21.05.18

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to week 6 of 6

We hope everyone enjoyed the glorious weekend weather and opportunities this brings, including perhaps watching the

Royal Wedding and maybe the FA Cup final too!

 This week in school...

  • On Monday afternoon 12 children across Key Stage 2 are representing Summerfied in a Triathalon event (good luck everyone) and in the evening it is a full Governing Body meeting
  • On Friday it is Year 3's Good Learning Assembly from 9:10am - family and friends most welcome

This half term really does seem to have whizzed by with lots happening. Thank you for everyone's support in various ways and we wish everyone a good half term break to rest and recover ready for our final seven weeks in school to round off this academic year. Let's hope the good weather holds.

Attendance
w/e Friday 27th April 2018
Y6 returned to top of the chart last week, with an impressive 98.33%. Whole school attendance still remains static at 94.26%.

Leeds Book Awards Competition
Children fron Y3 and Y4 were invited to read a selection of books that were nominated for the Leeds Book Awards, and to vote for their favourite. They chose Amelia Fang and the Barbaric Ball by Laura Ellen Anderson, but enjoyed them all so much that they are continuing to read them in Miss Anderson's Tuesday lunchtime book club.
Aldi Design a Bag Competition
Children from each Year group have designed a bag for the competition, with the theme of healthy eating. We have some very colourful and vibrant entries here.
